Fender “Full Dip” pickups
Starting with the Vintera II recipe, Fender added two tasty twists:
- Alnico 2 magnets: The standard Alnico 5 magnets have been swapped for Alnico 2 to tame harsh frequencies, smooth out the EQ and allow your notes to bloom with a sweeter, bell-like top end.
- +5% overwind: A little extra wire gives you more midrange punch and output — perfect for pushing dirt pedals without squashing your dynamics.
“Blender Mod” circuit
For even more tonal flavour, this Strat features a clever wiring mod that blends the neck pickup into the bridge position for Tele-style tones you can’t get with a standard Strat. Here’s a breakdown of all the pickup positions:
- Position 1: Bridge pickup with neck pickup blend.
- Position 2: Middle & bridge pickups with neck pickup blend.
- Position 3: Middle pickup.
- Position 4: Neck & middle pickups.
- Position 5: Neck pickup.
