• The LesPaul Custom has been produced since 1954 as the pinnacle of the LesPaul series. Although it is unthinkable from the current popularity, production ended in 1960. Production resumed in 1968 after some time. Before the end of production, it had a one-piece mahogany body, but after the reproduction, it became the same maple top and mahogany back as the standard. It is said that this was to increase productivity by making it the same specification as the standard. The LesPaul Custom after reproduction has a more defined sound.
• Gibson changed the head angle from 17 degrees to 14 degrees in 1965 when the production of the LesPaul series was suspended. Of course, the reproduction LesPaul series also has a head angle of 14 degrees to match the trend. Around 1974, a volute was added to the back of the head to increase strength. Also, there are pros and cons, but these days it is a narrow joint short tenon instead of a deep joint long tenon. This made for a clearer sound.
• These specifications were reconstructed at the current Gibson Custom Shop. It is a highly complete book.
  The pickup is equipped with a Gibson Custom Shop Super74 that reproduces the T-backer of the 70’s. It has a brighter sound than the early PAFs.
  In general, LesPaul in the 1950s is considered the best, but LesPaul in the 70s has been reviewed in recent years. It can be said that the guitarist who used LesPaul of that era was active in the 80’s.
